15 Aug Maria & Alan | Scottish wedding at Lake Wolfgangsee in Austria

Maria & Alan from Scotland fell in love with the Austrian mountains so they made their dream come true and hosted their wedding at Lake Wolfgangsee in Upper Austria. The romantic hotel restaurant, Landhaus zu Appesbach, was just perfect for them – a very cozy and romantic spot directly by the lake. The couple brought real Scottish weather (or was is real Austrian lake-region weather?) to their wedding so the ceremony was held inside instead of out by the lake, which did not influence the touching atmosphere at all. I must say, Maria & Alan were my bravest couple so far. For their wedding portraits, they stood on the landing stage in pouring rain with an umbrella. Although it was surely not very comfortable and Marias dress was soaked with water, they enjoyed their moment and I could take romantic pictures. In the end, they were rewarded 5 minutes without rain. Maria dried her dress on the dance floor later on. How fun. I always love getting to know wedding traditions from other cultures and I like giving some of our culture back.
